Job Title:  Area Manager – Accra & Eastern 
Level of Education:
Reports to: CMO / Director – Sales& marketing
Compensation: - 10,000 to 15,000 cedis per month + Incentive + Company maintained car with limited Fuel.
Objective: 
An Area Manager in a pharmaceutical company is responsible for the 
supervision and management of a group of marketing and medical 
representatives within a defined geographical area. The Area Manager is 
responsible for ensuring that the representatives under their supervision meet sales 
targets, and for providing guidance and support to enable them to do so. The 
Area Manager is also responsible for ensuring that representatives comply with 
company policies and procedures. 
Job description 
 To give on the job training to ethical team ( medical and marketing)  
 Collaborate with the sales & marketing department to strategize and 
execute effective lead generation campaigns 
 Define and ensure company KPI’s and enforce and executed. 
 To meet smart target sales and keep tracks of the targets on quarterly basis 
 To provide professional and effective services to meet customer 
expectations 
 Customer retention and reviving inactive customers. 
 Ensure accurate use of promotional items and activities to get maximum ROI 
 Assessment of reps performance by conducting weekly, monthly and 
quarterly meetings. 
 Study the information given about products by marketing reps, conduct 
meeting with customers and close deals with customers. 
 Develop and maintain a business, sales and marketing plan for the 
company  
 Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business by 
cold calling 
 Research new opportunities, recommending profit and service 
improvement to company 
 Provide technical and professional advice to the board when needed on 
new and existing products 
 Identify potential opportunities within customer base and relevant 
stakeholders to accelerate business volume 
 Work with pharmacist/ marketing Reps to give on job training (on field) and 
follow up with the team. 
 Convincing / lobbying for company products in various government/ 
private hospitals, wholesale, retailers along with the team. 
 Follow up on payments and ensure timely collection of goods supplied 
along with marketing or sales team. 
 Co-ordinate with the sales manager/ sales team/ marketing team to 
implement company strategy targets. 
Qualification/Knowledge/Experience: 
Level of Education:
•           Pharm D/ B.Sc. Pharmacy / MBA or Graduate from reputed institute 
from Ghana. Any extra professional or post graduate certificates will be an 
advantage 
Experience: 
•          Previous experience in Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing is 
mandatory (minimum 5 years) and should have handled team of 
pharmacist or marketing Reps. 
Skills: 
•          Excellent verbal, written, Presentation and interpersonal 
communication skills. English fluency essential. Must know how to drive and 
have a valid driving license. 
IT Literacy: 
•          Professional computer and MS-Office / Excel / PPT etc.
