We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Project Lead (Skin Care & Cosmetics) to spearhead the launch of our cosmetic range in Ghana. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving our cosmetics entry strategy, working closely with our offices in UK (responsible for formulation and sourcing), while leading the execution, distribution, and market development in Ghana. 

This role requires someone with a strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, and product development combined with the ability to obtain the appropriate information across pharmacies, cosmetic shops, supermarkets, and other retail channels.

Reports to: Marketing Manager/ Branch Manager

Responsibilities

1. Product & Technical Liaison

• Act as the bridge between our Head of Formulations and the Ghana team.

• Provide input on formulations, ingredients, and packaging tailored for the Ghanaian consumer.

2. Market Entry & Strategy

• Develop and execute a roadmap for launching cosmetic products into Ghana.

• Identify product-market fit, pricing, and positioning strategies.

• Create distribution strategies across pharmacies, cosmetic shops, supermarkets, and other retail channels.

3. Project Leadership

• Lead end-to-end product launch projects, from concept to market roll-out.

• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

• Track timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.

4. Sales & Marketing Support

• Support the sales and distribution team with technical knowledge of ingredients and product benefits.

• Collaborate with marketing to design impactful campaigns that resonate with Ghanaian consumers.

• Conduct training sessions for pharmacists, beauty advisors, and retail partners.

5. Compliance & Quality

• Ensure proper documentation and regulatory submissions with the Ghana FDA.

• Stay updated on global cosmetic ingredient trends and local consumer preferences.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a correlated beauty field.

• 5+ years of experience in cosmetics, personal care, or skincare industry (preferably with product launch experience).

• Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, and regulatory norms.

• Proven track record in project management and product development.

• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of the Ghanaian cosmetic and retail landscape.
